Avy refresher – February 8 2025

This short avalanche rescue refresher course is sponsored by Wilderness Rescue Team and Pleasant MTN ski patrol.

Location:  meet at the rt 302 parking lot for Pleasant Mtn Ski area.

Time:  9 am to 1 pm

Agenda: four stations:

1. Avalanche beacon grid search
2. Grid line probe station
3. Ice axe self arrest

4 . Deep snow probe line for rescue Andy.

This is a field skills rescue clinic.  We will not cover snow mechanics, terrain features and forecasting.  No prerequisites required.
